The West Georgia Choral Arts Festival features choirs from the West Georgia/East Alabama region. As part of this event the Choral Society of West Georgia sponsors honor choruses from Troup County schools. Singers participate in a full day event culminating with performances by each ensemble as well as a combined festival choir of over 200 singers. We celebrate the rich choral arts tradition of our region by bringing choristers from eight to ninety-eight to perform on the same stage.
Beginning as a celebration of the Choral Society of West Georgia’s tenth anniversary, the inaugural West Georgia Arts Festival in 2016 was a stunningly successful project in both size and scope. Each year, regional choirs are invited to participate, including select students from elementary, middle, and high schools. Guest conductors have included Dr. Beth Everett, Dr. Byron Cartwright, Dr. Michelle Herring-Folta, Dr. Oliver (Nathan) Greene, Jr., Darian Krimm, and Andrew Harry.
Save the date for next year's Choral Arts Festival on February 28, 2026.
